Queer Creek Volume Two: Possums and Scrooge McDuck

By Ülvi Gitaliyev

When I founded The Berea Torch, a big part of my vision was to support other publications in Berea. That is why I am happy to announce that today Queer Creek Zine is releasing its second volume in both physical and online copies!

Started by Greasy Louise, Queer Creek Zine is dedicated to uplifting Appalachian queer folk and allies. They accept writing, art, photography and other forms of creative submissions.

My favourite piece that was featured on this zine is on page seven, a digital piece by Juniper Avalon! The expressions of passion and violence partnered with their colour pallet make a stark and intriguing contrast.
